Having problems with your Porsche 924 ?

I can't keep my 1977 1/2 Porsche 924 running at idle

\015 I have a 1977 1/2 porsche 924. I can get the engine to turn over, and even start, however, I have to manually control the throttle and fuel sensor plate in the mixture control unit. I removed the fuel injector in cylinder 1 and jumped the pump so that it is on full pressure and moved the sensor plate all the way up as it would be in full throttle and it doesn't seem like there is much fuel comming out. However, I am unsure how much fuel should be injected at full throttle. Any help on how to get my car running on it's own?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-10-2020

Answers :

I have a 81 model of the 924. my problem was that i had a feeder pump in my gas tank that didn't allow any preasure to be built after the inline pump. that solved my problem. try also to soak you fuel accumulator , pumps, and injectors in parts cleaner over night to get the gunk out of it. I hope i helped:)
Other than suggest replacing the fuel filter and measuring the fuel pump pressure, I'm not much help.
