Having problems with your Subaru Impreza ?

My 2006 Subaru Impreza RS hatchback just blew up. They say it needs a new engine. Is it worth it? Or would you suggest trading it in and buying a new car?

Answers :

It *could* be worth it depending on the reason the motor failed. Otherwise putting the new motor in could just be risking having it happen again. Trading it in however with a blown motor will get you next to nothing for trade in value. I would imagine this car being only 4 years old still has a valid drivetrain warranty unless something was done to the car that would void such warranty.

In any case, a new motor would come with a warranty whether you had to pay for the motor or not. Then you at the very least know for sure what you are driving, and for much less cost than a whole new car.
