Having problems with your Subaru Legacy ?

2000 Subaru Legacy Outback Ltd Wagon F4-2.5 SOHC-AT. DTC P0325. I have tested on the old and a new knock sensor resistance and they both check the same.Voltage from the ECM is 4.8v.I clear the code,drive the car,but the code comes back. lou

Answers :

If you encounter a CHeck Engine light with a DTC PO325, check to see if the knock sensor mounting bolt has been torqued too tightly upon installation. Also check the thread surfaces of the block to see that they are clean and not corroded. Any corrosion should be removed before installing the bolt.

The correct torque for mounting blot is 15-19 ft. lbs. This information is not found un the service manual.
