Having problems with your Toyota Corolla ?

I got a check engine light and the code was P0471. A mechanic told me it was the solenoid inside the transmission and in order to fix that I have to rebuild the transmission and it was gonna cost about $1,100.00. A few people told me that was a ripoff! The car is running fine but I noticed that it trembles but very little...What can I do?

Answers :

That has nothing to do with the transmission. That is an emissions control sensor. It could be a dirty or faulty sensor, restricted (dirty) supply tube, or a faulty PCM.
