Having problems with your Toyota Land Cruiser ?
I have a 1977 Land Cruiser. I can turn the engine over but I am not getting spark to the plugs. I need to know how the wiring goes on the starter solenod.
Answers :
That's a good question. There IS a coil wire on the solenoid to bypass the ballast resistor when starting. It is the black wire with a yellow stripe and it can attach to either the start terminal or the large starter terminal on the bottom of the solenoid. It just needs to get battery voltage when the key is turned to start, and any of the terminals except the top one will do that for you. The top one is always hot, so don't hook it there. Please let me know if this doesn't solve the problem or if you have any other questions.
