Having problems with your Volvo 940 ?

Where is the fan sensor on a volvo 940 (1993)

The thermal switch is located on the top of the radiator, usually on the passenger side.
\015\012Disconnect the negative battery cable.
\015\012Drain and recycle the engine coolant down below level of switch mouting location.
\015\012Unplug the electrical connector from the switch.
\015\012Using a socket or wrench, loosen the switch,remove the switch by hand

\015\012Install the switch into the radiator, and start the threads by hand.
\015\012Tighten the switch into the radiator, do not to overtighten or you will break the switch or radiator.
\015\012Plug the electrical connector in.
\015\012Connect the negative battery cable.
\015\012Refill the coolant and start the engine.
\015\012Let the vehicle warm up and check the operation of the fan switch.
\015\012Check the level of the coolant.
